We were delighted when our fantastic local butchers Claytons visited the Scout Group in November. Matt and Harley came along to see the Drake Troop to teach our young people about quality meat and to give them an introduction to a career as a butcher. Or as the session was called, to Meet the Meat.
It was a fantastic demonstration of passion and skill and it’s fair to say it was enjoyed just as much by our adult volunteers as our Scouts. Especially when we got to cook and eat some of the lovely venison they had just skilfully prepared.
Thank you Matt and Harley, you delivered an excellent demonstration of why Clayton’s is a much loved local butchers.
