We ran our first Group Camp in over a decade, and it was amazing.

Did you know we have more than 130 young people attending one of our Potton Scout Group sections? Did you also know that more than 40 adults volunteer their time, energy and passion to put on a busy and fantastic Scouting calendar for them to enjoy?

Well, we decided to try and bring them all together for a weekend of fun at Potton Scout Headquarters from 19th – 21st May. And the result? A whole lot of fun, skills learned, and friendships cemented.

Here is a selection of photographs that show just how much we packed into the camp, which included young people aged from 4 – 14 getting their hands dirty in the woods, pitching tents, firing arrows, chopping wood, building a massive tower, hiking and even collecting some tadpoles for our pond.

We even found the time to invest two new Scouts into our Raleigh Troop; hopefully, they felt very welcome joining us in front of some many of our young people and leaders.

Thank you to the leaders and other volunteers who made this camp happen. I know how incredibly hard you worked, and the feedback from the parents and young people tells me it was well worth it.
