Every year, the Scout Group must hold an Annual General Meeting, which is an opportunity for members to meet with the Trustees and hear their report on the charity, review of the accounts, and other administrative business.
It’s a compulsory yearly meeting that happens within six months of the end of the charity’s financial year, and where the Scout Council appoints their Trustees.
There’s a formal part to the AGM, but it isn’t a lengthy or tedious meeting. It’s an opportunity to celebrate the things we’ve delivered as a Group in the past year, show what the young people have achieved, thank our wonderful volunteers and connect with the Group’s members – which includes the young people and their parents/carers.
This year’s AGM is taking place on Friday 30th August at 7pm and will be held at the Scout Hut in Potton. Please join us to support our fantastic Scout Group and its volunteers as we aim to continue to deliver fantastic Scouting opportunities for our community – both young people and anyone looking for opportunities to volunteer in our community.
