Whatever your skillset, lend a hand for as little or as much time as you can spare, and we promise you’ll get more out than you put in. Our volunteering opportunities are as varied as you and there are plenty to choose from in Potton. Whether you’re helping a leader to run an activity in our fantastic Scout hut on Potton, organising a night away, or buttering 120 slices of bread for a group of very hungry cubs – no two meetings are the same. You don’t need to be Bear Grylls to join us. Our door is open to people of all ages, genders, races and backgrounds, and we can only change lives because people like you lend a hand. We’re talking about tea makers, tidy-uppers and skill sharers. We’re talking about minibus drivers and first aiders. We’re talking about students who want to boost their CVs and parents who volunteer so they can spend more time together as a family.

Why should you volunteer?
We are an active Scout Group.
We love to camp, kayak, paddle board, climb mountains, cook on open fires, ride bikes, shoot bows and rifles, throw axes, abseil, hike and many other adventures.
You name it we do it, and so could you.
Volunteering is a lot of fun. We have a great team of adult volunteers at Potton Scout Group, but we always need more.
Volunteering can be a couple of hours a week, a month, or a quarter. You decide on how much time you can give.
